As you may have seen Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a big update May 11 that includes the likness of Godzilla and King Kong. The event is titled Operation Monarch and how it exactly played isn't 100% known at this point but we do have ideas. According to rumors there will be a 4 player team mode in several of the known titan experiences. Something like this isn't too far fetched altho to this writer it still comes as a surprise. In the past and currently there's the well loved Zombie mode that has grown to quite something big of its own with mixed reviews so having kanji isn't the craziest thing.
I wouldn't expect too much realism coming from this, maybe during normal play we'll see global events here and there of either of the two or both at once duke it out and possibly add an environmental hazard to the game, maybe we'll see smaller monsters? doubtful.
Whts interesting is that the last Godzilla movie. Godzilla vs Kong, came out back in 2019. So there's a couple years gap between its release and this one for call of duty. Im always for more kaiju goodies. Maybe this in marketing with the recently announced Monsterverse show coming to Apple TV+. its anyones guess, nothing beyond the trailer and here and there facts has been released.
You can bet that when May 11 rolls around ill be checking it out so until then what do you think this will be all about beside the obvious? how do you think the game will play?
