Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is still among the greatest games recently released, even a year after its initial release. Between amazing graphics, true open world play, and one of the largest maps I have seen in a game, it's easy to see why people love it so much. But dont think this is your typical LoZ game. No no. It's far superior. Hundreds of unique dungeons give players more things to do than they can imagine. Roaming the fields, wreaking havoc to moblins, searching for fairy fountains, hunting animals for food and potions, taming wild horses, and gaining enough hearts to finally wield the Master Sword just scratches the surface. Unique bosses give a great challenge to players who want to complete the story. Familiar faces bring a sense of nostalgia to those of us who have played since the beginnings. Top notch graphics and environments really make you feel like you are more than just a player, they make you feel part of the game. But all these amazing things come at a cost. The lack of DLC expansions make the game feel stale after logging nearly 100 hours in. The final boss feels much too easy compared to lesser bosses. I know this seems trivial to complain about, but when you compare these things to how much work into everything else, it feels like a bit of a disappointment. The lack of new DLC makes the replay value of this game rather low. Once you've beaten the game, if you downloaded the few dlc offered, there is little extra to do.    Overall, however, I would give this game an initial play score of 9/10, with a replay score of 7.5/10. If you have a Switch, and for some reason not played this game yet, you are missing out. Go play. Have some fun. 8/10
