Welcome back one and all to a MTG update! We have our newest set to drop and let me tell you it’s a hit. In this newest The Streets Of New Capenna we are whisked away into a world full of Crime families, Mob Bosses, and other Mafia era adventures which are jam packed full of intresting and exciting new characters for the game.
The five Crime Families of New Capenna are the ones who run this plane wide city and each faction has their own individual color identity. We will start off with Probably my personal favorite, the Brokers. This family's color Identity is Blue, White, Green. Normally this color combination stands for more of a lawful order, however the brokers are more of loan sharks. They tend to hold themselves to a personal moral code. With that said when it comes time for your debt to be paid if you don’t pay up. You might find yourself taking a not so fun flight.
Next faction we have is called the Cabarettie. They have the color identity of White, Red, Green and let me tell you they love to live the high life. This faction Loves to party day in and day out and they tend to act as caterers. They also like to dabble in drugs and other revels to make their money… Don’t get on their bad side though. They won’t hesitate to show you the door.
Now we are in our third family, the Riveters. This family is the backbone and working class of the plane. They are the Union and they take all the jobs nobody else would want. The color Identity is Red, Green, Black and they will not tolerate scabs. You take their job and I promise you that they will end you. They also tend to run an underground boxing ring to keep bets rolling.
Next Up is the Obscura. This family tends to be the lowest and out of sight family on the board. They are assassins and do all the dirty work. They have the color Identity of Blue, White, Black and they fully embody this color Identity perfectly. Hiding in shadows and in alleys to catch their targets.
The Last family on this list are called the Maestros who are Historians and run the museums on new Capenna. Unveiling new exhibits and making offers you can’t refuse. Their color Identity is Red, Blue, Black and love doing behind the scenes drug running.
There is so much more I could talk about but I just wanted to give you just a taste of what this set has to offer. It releases on May 6th and the story is already up for all to read. It is full of twists and turns that honestly kind of throw you for a loop. That said, Let's talk about it on our site. What are your thoughts on New Capenna?
