Elder Scrolls is getting new content!
No this isn’t about Skyrim…but it is? No this isnt another release of Skyrim. What im trying to say is Elder Scrolls Online has some new stuff coming this year! Im particularly super excited for this. Elder Scrolls games are very well known for its lore and story telling. These games seed our minds with memories about that one bad guy you fought and the crazy or interesting things you may have done along the way. Remember that one guy that came falling out of the sky and landing in front of you dead with nothing but a journal talking about his upcoming test in Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind? Classic.
These games are bonding. We all have stories about things we have done in the games, all since Arena and Daggerfall. The Elder Scrolls Online takes that even further with bringing those same friends and loved ones with you on new Elder Scrolls adventures!
Not too long ago Zenimax/Bethesda released a teaser video for the next chapter of adventure. The video shows boats going across an ocean to an island with some strong pirates of the Caribbean vibes. We see the calm seas turn violent and dark then a character in steel plates pic a sword off a table and walk towards a balcony overlooking the rough seas.
That’s it
Zenimax/Bethesda hasn’t given us any other information on what this could be yet but did give us a date for a Global reveal of Jan 27th 12pm PST, 3pm EST, and 8pm GMT through twitch.tv/Bethesda
They mention “…we bring you new lands to explore, new threats to uncover, and new stories to experience…”
Theories of what this could be have been circulating since, lime maybe a new playable race or play against?? The Sea Elves??
So what has Elder Scrolls Online brought to the table?
Elder scrolls Online launched in for Windows and OS X in April 2014 with a big development delay for consoles which eventually came June 2015. Since then the game saw some big changes such as the likes of Tameriel Unlimited, which allowed everyone to go everywhere regardless of level or faction.
Since Launch of ESO we have had 24 DLCs with the most recent being the year-long Oblivion event Deadlands which saw us facing up against the Deadric Prince of Oblivion. Time wizards, Strong houses of Dark Elves, Vampires in Skyrim, Dragons in Elsweyr, new playable classes, thieves, and assassins Have all been the likes of the Elder Scrolls Online. So what do you think will be added with this new year long story with ESO?? My hopes is for focus on the sea.
On that notes don't forget that Jan 20-Feb 1st is the Daedric War Celebration Event. check out their website for more details and how you can get tickets for gear and more.
