Okay, so I know I’m a little late on the draw for this, but I wanted to cover my thoughts on the upcoming Pokemon sword and shield DLC that are going to launch in the spring and next fall. This DLC will be bringing back 200 older Pokemon to the current games and it’s also going to bring 18 new Pokemon and forms to them as well!
The first of the DLC to be launched is going to be called The Isle of armor. Which looks like it’s going to be a blast! It introduces a bunch of new characters and story that effectively gives you a whole other part of the game to explore. Which in my honest opinion is better than having to buy a whole other game to get this same effect. Now from what I’ve read DLC It’s going to be more battle focused as you are being trained under a former Galarian Champion named Mustard who taught your predecessor Leon. Together you get stronger and you also get a legendary Pokemon to fight alongside you. But I don’t want to give away too much detail there.
The other DLC that drops in the fall is called the Crown Tundra and will introduce Co-Op into the game.... Which is SUPER EXCITING! I honestly can’t remember a Pokemon game with this option except in these games and it’s going to me so lit. The Crown Tundra is going to be based on the theme of exploration and introduces so many different places to go and what I can only feel is going to be a whole new wild area to play in. That and I bets are on the new Galarian forms will all be found solely in the crown tundra. I mean we have had confirmation that Galarian Slowpoke and Slowbro are in the Isle of armor, but outside of that I feel that's going to be the only new galarian form introduced in that part of the DLC.
That said This has been in my opinion an amazing year for Pokemon and going forward I’m looking forward to seeing what other DLC options that Pokemon franchise will be getting in it’s wheelhouse.
