Favorite locations celebrating the games 5th year.
In honor of Elder Scrolls celebrating its 25th birthday and Elder Scrolls Online celebrating its 5th birthday, I decided to do an appreciation post about this amazing game. This ranking will be based upon quests, dungeons, trials, anchors, and other activities in the area, and will also include some DLC zones as well. If you are playing Elder Scrolls Online, do not forget to purchase your cake voucher from the online store to start the “Ache For Cake” side-quest to receive your jubilee cake that will grant you double XP.
10) Cyrodiil
While PVP isn’t really my thing when it comes to ESO, Cyrodiil’s extensive battlegrounds are a force to be reckoned with. The Imperial City is home to excellent dungeons and also fantastic armor sets that can only be crafted there. While participating in the Alliance War, make sure you read guides about PVP builds to make your character prepared for battle.
9) Coldharbour
The starting place for the main story, but as dreary as it is here, it is also the scene for the fight against Molag Bal.
8) Murkmire
The Argonian homeland truly has one of my favorite storylines. Uncovering the history of the Saxhleel while doing the main quest line of the area, was a quest that any ESO fan should do to further appreciate the game. The Dead-Water Village was also one of my personal favorite areas to explore.
7) The Clockwork City
This area has my personal favorite aesthetic of all the locations. The intricate details of this area, along with the interesting creatures such as the non-combat pet, the basilisk, make this area of great quests a very exciting DLC area.
6) Gold Coast
Home of my favorite guild, the Assassins, the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary is one of my favorite places in the game.
5) Grahtwood
Home of my main character, I love the visuals of this area, especially Elden Root. Elden Root has literally anything you could need for crafting, while also being the main location for one of my favorite quests in the game.
4) Auridon
If you can’t tell from the last post, I am #TeamAldmeriDominion so having Auridon and the stunning visuals it possesses make it one of the most visually pleasing areas in the game. The size of the map gives it the opportunity to have a plethora of exciting quests.
3) Stonefalls
This place is home to Davon’s Watch, easily one of the busiest areas in the game due to its popularity. What the area lacks for in size, it makes up in rich storyline activities and excellent storylines.
2) Summerset
The traditionally beautiful landscape for this area is truly unparalleled, but what else can you expect from the high elves? A very important main quest that touches on elements of racial issues, the Psijic Order questline, the jewelry crafting skill line, and abyssal geysers are all just a sample of the many things this place has to offer.
1) Vvardenfell
Morrowind truly left its impact on so many players, so it is no surprise that Vvardenfell tops this list. Vivec City has probably my favorite set up of any place because all of the crafting locations are all so accessible, plus to find a fence, there is actually one super close by instead of having to go all the way out of a town to locate one. The quest with Naryu Virian is also a lot of fun, but im a little more bias towards assassins. Finally, having the new class of the warden unlocked is also great thing that this expansion brought.
*Special Mention: Elsweyr
Again…I love Aldmeri Dominion so that along with the fact of DRAGONS makes me so very excited for this chapter to drop in June. The fact that they are also bringing the necromancer into the mix of things also has me wishing it was June already.
I hope you all enjoyed this ranking of lands from Elder Scrolls Online. Please feel free to respond to this with any land that you believe we left out, or if you think certain places should have ranked higher/lower. If you are an active ESO player, and are looking for a new guild, please feel free to join ours – Relics of Embers.
