Forgotten Realms Gametorium Needs YOU!
Located in chesapeake, OH one of the best shops local to our OH, KY, WV area is none other than Forgotten Realms Gametorium, and unfortunately it's in a hard place right now. Over the past few months this shop has been the subject of vandalism, repeated events of theft, and continuous neglect by the owner of the building. As if that wasn't enough, the neglect has also led to CRAZY high heating and air bills. Without getting into the Forgotten Relams Gametoriums owners business, he has definitely taken action of his own to try to prevent and fix issues with the building, but now it's gone to the point that we as supportive fans need to step in to help prevent any store closure of this great shop.
There's A Way To Help!
A great fan and repeated game runner, who we'll keep anonymous , set up a GoFundMe for the shop for us to be able to help out this cause from a distance. Tell your friends, parents, teachers, cosplayers, and table top players that we cannot let our own local shop suffer any unhealthy issues, and leave us with only big chain companies. Here's the link for the GoFundMe. https://www.gofundme.com/f/1v67m01xuo?sharetype=teams&member=3500076&pc=fb_co_campmgmt_m&rcid=r01-157878359696-da5ea6c46f1e4102&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_lico%2Bshare-sheet&fbclid=IwAR1XyO1jfccxP7BJe7hrkAoGG8BVoluA7spa1WMah26zukxgVv4VZ05-P0U
So Much To Offer.
This shop isn't just a place to browse for a game and leave. Stay awhile, you might find that joining into a DnD game, some Call of Cthulhu, or a card game might be the thing that you were searching for. The great people that run a weekly scheduled game are not to be under estimated, they will twist stories and have PLENTY of content for anyone, just ask or plop down, grab a drink and snack, and join in. As stated, this isn't your average shop. There are game titles and consoles from the Atari days to todays most current titles and consoles. Need something repaired? You can get that here too! A personal favorite of mine, FRG even has its own arcade! Set some scores and compete for the top! The shop can be found on Facebook as well, follow the page for events and updates to the shop. You can get to the page HERE.
Trust in FRG.
Eric Is the stores owner and proprietor of Forgotten Realms Gametorium, and is probably one of the best guys you'll meet. Eric is one of the guys that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it more, which is probably one of the reasons that FRG has after school programs for Yu-Gi-Oh and other games. He's that kind of guy to provide for the community, and not just be another shop. Fun fact: This is actually the place we got our start with our podcast, On Air, and the place we try to schedule the most public games and even run beta tests of games of our own! We aren't the only company or group to go to FRG, in fact there are many groups that frequent the shop to play games like DnD, Path Finder, and more. Eric will always be the guy that makes sure the shop is running a peaceful, friendly, and most importantly SAFE environment for all ages and everyone no matter the background.
Do the thing!
Do the thing, check out the GoFundMe, the FB page, and visit the shop in person! If I haven't convinced you yet, support all that Eric does for the community and for the shop. Don't forget, the next convention or show you go to, be sure to see if Forgotten Realms Gametorim is there and see what rare wares this manz has. Support your community, and shop local at this great store.
