It's been a while folks. When you last read from us at Critically absurd we went into detail about our development of Nights of Strife. Since then we finished the base game and went into plan for the year of 2023. Here's to a safer, healthier, year and one that brings riches to us all! This article should bring you up to date on events we have coming up and what we are working on.
Conventions
Starting off, we get a lot of people who reach out to us or find us in person to ask what conventions are taking place and what we suggest.
We have our favorites that we believe are top there for our area and deserve recognition. We tend to keep these conventions on our yearly visits. This year, however, our convention circuit is less than normal as we are focusing our time to get the next 2 expansions of Nights of Strife and its art finished.

Other conventions that we recommend would be Ohayocon, Classic Plastics Expo, Lexington Comic and Toy Convention, Kentokyocon, GenCon, Cincinnati Comic Expo, Wilson, and Matsuricon in Columbus, OH.
DM for Hire
New for 2023 we started our DM for Hire gaming service. We can travel to any business to provide a full one shot or campaign complete with maps, music, and more for 3-6 players. DnD, Aliens, Emberwind, Pathfinder, all kinds of table top games are available. If you are interested reach out to us through our site or social media to get an event set up. Currently we will be in and out of Darkmoon Realms in Milton, WV. Once an event is set up registration and RSVPs will be taken through our website. Our sessions go for $20 a person for up to 4hrs.
Nights of Strife
The big one. Our big goal for the year is to complete Nights of Strife with its 2 new expansions; Dark Hollow and Nautical Nightmare. The base game is complete as a noir, semi-artless, design we title "Classic Edition." This is the same play you will get with the full art game and is available now at TheGameCrafter.com (click the link to take you to the game page.).
Our amazing artist James Clark is still working on the base game and starting on the new expansions. To give you all an in we are considering a crowd fund for the base game and both expansions all in one complete with full art and more included lore for the Nights of Strife IP. We are actively looking for returning beta testes, so if you are interested reach out to us.

CATV Podcast
Our well known podcast ON AIR is coming to an end. Due to illness, life, and NoS development this last season has had less episodes than past seasons BUT it has been FULL of great moments. The final episode will air soon. Over the past 4 years since starting the podcast we have grown in a big way, had hundreds of people turning in and in multiple countries. We thank you all deeply for your friendship and listening to this podcast.
Don't be sad though, this is not the end as far as shows go for Critically Absurd. We are currently planning a new show format for video and audio. Stay tuned for more
All in all we have plenty to keep us busy and plenty of content coming to this year. We greatly appreciate all the support we receive and all the friends and fans we have. We can't wait to get to work!
