As everyone knows all to well COVID-19 has affected nearly every aspect of our lives. We Personal hope that it hasn't affect everyone's personal lives too much. We care about all of you and we also care about the CATV staff which is why you haven't seen our weekly articles, our podcast, ON AIR season 2, taking a pause, and why we haven't been around town at shops or other events running games or covering businesses. I didn't want my team doing something they were too uncomfortable doing with the virus around let alone put themselves or their family at risk. Our podcast was put on pause while we all quarantined ourselves for some time to protect ourselves and the fact that our recording studio at the great CoWorks in downtown Huntington has a good amount of people coming and going so we decided that when we do start back up we will do so at our homes until we all feel better about going back out into the public. CoWorks, by the way, is an amazing place to find yourself to work. They have many many areas of various sizes and accommodations to rent out for yourself or your business in lieu of an expensive private building/suite. CoWorks has always been accommodating and incredibly friendly to us and the community we involve ourselves in. If you want more info on them or you're interested don't hesitate to follow this link to their site > http://coworkswv.org/ .
Speaking of coming back from quarantine, our podcast is returning! We are meeting this coming Wednesday to start back up so expect a new episode in a week. As well as our podcast starting back up our article cycle will too. In case you were curious or want some behind the scenes, we at CATV each take our share of the work. On our articles we have a cycle that we go by for who has each week. I'm not going to say who has what but its a way for us to get CATV work done while we each live our lives at our day jobs or at home. Let me tell you this isn't easy but we each love what we do and look forward to everything we do for articles, our podcasts, event coverage, and our games. So we are very excited to get back into recording and getting our articles going again, we hope you all like what we put out! ALSO, we are going to begin streaming games, retro and all - weekly! We will keep everyone informed on what we stream. Reminder, we love feedback so if you want more or less of something or just something new all together shoot us an email through our website or message us on our Facebook page!
To further our update to you while all the world is in limbo we are happy to say that our game, Absurdity (formally Critically Absurd Werewolf), is finished in the testing and mechanics phase and is currently finishing up on art. What we have played in past conventions and places is not the end however, we have much planned to come. Again, I wont go into what we have at this moment but trust us, we cant wait to get it to you and we hope you'll like it!. Stay tuned!
Corona virus has been canceling conventions, local events, and just about everything recently to a point that its almost impossible to plan to cover an event and the ones we did have planned and were very excited for have already been announced to be moved or canceled all together. Some of these conventions we were really excited for were Herdcon 2020, Causeacon (which moved once then canceled), Matsuricon and more. Of course I want to make a point and say that we don't think any negatively about it, in fact we celebrate the decision to protect the community from the virus. We CAN NOT wait for next year for all these cons and to see everyone again.
We hope everyone has been okay during this time. All this come to an end and this sad secluded time will too. Soon we will all be hanging out and enjoying life at our favorite conventions and enjoying the best parts that life has to offer, each other. Stay tuned to us for more of whats coming, rescheduling, and any thing new.
Until next time, Brandon
